We have been waiting to publish this blog as Jessica and Kellen wanted their engagement session to be a surprise until they sent out save the date cards, but now here it is!
A few months ago we talked with Jessica about her engagement session. They wanted a session in the late summer or fall. But then we got an e-mail that they wanted to see if we could do something fun; they wanted to know if we could do an engagement session soon at Kennywood! We were so excited! YES! Of course yes.
So Olivia and I started to work on the logistics of the shoot. We asked our network of photographers if they knew about any rules at Kennywood. We found out there were rules. So, we reached out to Kennywood and quickly got the ball rolling. The season was ending soon and hours were going to be restricted. The park was only going to be open Monday and Tuesday the following week. After that, they would only be open on the weekends and with wedding season in full swing we knew we needed to do it on that Monday.
Jessica was so happy when we e-mailed and told her that we had figured everything out. So on Monday morning we packed up our gear and made the trip for an awesome shoot.
We soon met them at the park. The Kennywood staff was extremely accommodating. They drove us from place to place in a cart. They let us get on rides for shoots before the park opened. And, they even stopped rides and held the lines so we could photograph. This was really fun since everyone in line could see what we were doing. People in the park were so nice. They congratulated Jessica and Kellen multiple times.
This very fun, unique engagement session at Kennywood was a blast. We hope you enjoy the images.
