We shot this beautiful sunset wedding on a crisp fall day. It ended up being perfect lighting and perfect temperature for it being an outdoor wedding.
We started off at the grooms house to grab some getting ready photos as well as some family pictures.
The wedding was actually at her family’s home and they decorated it beautifully. You could tell a lot of work went into every little detail.
And now for the surprise. We were originally going to photograph their intimate wedding at Phipps Conservatory and then their bigger reception at Kate’s parents house but a few months before their wedding they e-mailed us asking if it would be alright to change it. They decided it would be fun to surprise their guests. When their guests arrived thinking they were coming to celebrate at a reception they actually got to be a part of their wedding ceremony as well. And the surprises don’t end there…
Kate very much wanted us to get a picture of Will crying as she came down the aisle. So much so that that ended up being our inside joke with them every time we talked to them. We would ask Will are you “practicing your tears” and they would jokingly laugh along with us. Little did we know that the reason Kate was so adamant for us to get this picture was because she had hired a bagpiper to play while she came down the aisle. This was Will’s dream!
We had so much fun capturing this truly special day and hope you will enjoy your memories that will last a lifetime. Congratulations, Will and Kate!
